Playing with Reality
You may be familiar with the principles of the manifestation process from “The Secret.” You create an intention and then act as if it is already done. Well, what if you could take that process one step further? What if you could align yourself with a reality where it already exists?Try This Exercise
Breathe into the heart chakra. I like to put both hands over the physical heart in a vertical line. It helps me keep the focus out of the head and centered on the heart. Then I imagine my mind’s eye in the middle of the forehead descending into the heart. Sometimes I see it gliding down a slide. As you gather your essence into the heart, feel what it would be like partnering in that relationship, to have your project completed, or release that physical challenge that holds you back. How would you enjoy life from this different perspective?
Next imagine you can see the spiraling vortex energy field of the heart like a tornado. It is more concentrated in the heart and expands out into the vastness of the Universe with the feelings of your desire fulfilled. Release with it the intention that your heart field aligns with Source energy and finds the dimension of reality where your intention already exists right now. Allow the vortex of energy to bring that dimension of consciousness back to your heart.
Play with it. Experience your body, mind and spirit in this new dimension. Walk, talk, and act as if is because it is! Now that you are coming from a place of already done, you are in resonance with your intention. Have fun noticing what shows up as a result!
Playing With Energy In Everyday Life
Here is an example of how I played with this in everyday life. I was pretty ill recently and frustrated that I could not do most things on the mile-long checklist. I had the respiratory crud that kept me coughing, sore in the throat, light-headed and couch bound for days. Despite common sense, I did not cancel a drum lesson. Something told me to go. It took all of my strength to shower, dress and drive. On the way, I did the heart exercise and imagined the reality I wanted for the lesson. As soon as I started to play, I was so immediately entrenched in the experience and the joy that my heart was feeling. I noticed that I could breathe easily again and made it the entire hour without coughing.
At one point during the lesson I was struggling with a particular rudiment. I created a reality where I was inside a famous drummer’s body able to access his skills. I could feel his loose wrists, the way he lets the sticks bounce off the drums to do the work for him and the knowingness of how he is a master of the basics that I was attempting. In those moments where I allowed and noticed the vortex of my heart aligning with that outcome, the teacher kept saying, “There, that’s it.” I smiled. When I got back up in the head and thought about what I was doing I lost it. I got better at diving into the heart and merging with the master drummer reality. Each time I was able to hold the space a little longer.
When the lesson was over, I noticed the huge charge in my physical energy. I no longer felt sick. This experience was the turning point on my road to recovery. In fact, it felt so good that I now pause several times throughout the day and just imagine being in the field of the heart and expanding that vibration out, even without a specific intention. The waves of energy that come back into the body bring such joy.
So will you commit to taking time today to drop down into the heart and play in your favorite reality? You will be amazed at how your life will flow in response to your shift.
